Tomorrow Jennifer and I are flying to Zagreb for four days. Short holiday and meeting family.
Today I spent some time installing a Fedora chroot on a JS20 running Suse. It was interessting but required some effort until I was able to chroot into my installation and finally run yum. Once yum was running it was very easy and I tried to compile some of Fedora Extras packages from CVS on this PPC system. I think I fixed some bugs but most were gcc4 related and only one was a PPC bug (but now I am not sure if I did really fix it).
I have also checked another version of jabberd into CVS hoping to finally reach a point at which I can request a build for jabberd.
Contrary to expectations the movie we just saw in the cinema was not as bad as expected. We saw Meet the Fockers.

I have just announced the new release of erwin. The new version has a searchbar just like firefox because I think that the searchbar is a really good design and therefore I tried to copy the functionality as good as possible.
The new version 0.8 called Like a fox can be found at the usual place. My next step should be to include it in Fedora Extras…
Oh, concerning Fedora Extras… My last activity has been to request the build of xlockmore for FC-4 and it is now available. I should now request a branch of xlockmore in FC-3.
I am also still working on the jabberd package but it is pretty complicated and progress is pretty slow.

Not much happened today. I read my mailinglists I have not read during the week, sorted some papers, was running for about an hour and cooked dinner. I also used my time to copy things around on my RAID, updated more RPMs and orderer a pair of speakers at ebay.
As it seems like the winter is over and spring is beginning I was yesterday for
the first time back on the street and running. It was only 30 minutes but hey, it
was the first time for almost over 4 months. Now that the days are longer I hope
I will be running more often than during the last months.
Today I submitted xlockmore for review to be included in Fedora Extras.
The main reason for doing this package is that Martin asked for it. The reviews look
good and I hope that it soon will be included and available.
I am still not sure if the jabberd package will be included. The review process is
already pretty far but the spec file is quite complex. The current version is already
very usable. Just install it, start it and you are ready to jabber.

The RAIDs of our FTP Server are getting full. Today was the first time since many months that one of our partitions was filled up during the nightly sync. I moved the mirror of ftp.openoffice.org to another RAID which freed 18GB on this partition. Luckily we already have plans to attach a much bigger RAID which should give us enough space for at least the next two years.
