Not only is a part of the album available for free and <a href=\"http:\/\/ghosts.nin.com\" title=\"Ghosts\">Ghosts<\/a> a DRM-free download (including a lossless <a href=\"http:\/\/flac.sourceforge.net\/\" title=\"Free Lossless Audio Codec\">FLAC<\/a> encoded version), but also is it licensed under <a href=\"http:\/\/creativecommons.org\/licenses\/by-nc-sa\/3.0\/us\/\" target=\"_new\">Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>When I first bought Ghosts, I was bit disappointed that the tracks have no names &#8211; even though I really like the album. Somehow that seemed loveless. But then I learned that this was done on purpose, so that contributors to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/group\/ninghosts\" title=\"Film Festival\">NIN YouTube Ghosts Film Festival<\/a> could start visualizing what they hear from scratch without being influenced by the title of the song. The people out there have contributed more then 600 videos until now and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ZNgnJaqWW9g&amp;watch_response\" title=\"Ghosts 01\">some<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=OSCcWpJBkTg\" title=\"Ghost 15\">of<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NWAO36aDONE\" title=\"Ghost 34\">them<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=YS19ZJjefQ4\" title=\"Ghost 7\">are<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VC56fkbaLNg\" title=\"Ghost 19\">very<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1oq9_TWGbxw\" title=\"Ghost 33\">well<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=3ojMF6HfECs\" title=\"Ghost 30\">done<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now if only Google <a href=\"http:\/\/techland.blogs.fortune.cnn.com\/2008\/03\/25\/youtube-looks-for-the-money-clip\/\">burnt even more money<\/a> on YouTube &#8211; their performance\u00a0 is really tedious sometimes.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The claim that Trent Reznor is singlehandedly fixing the music industry is a bit\u00a0 far-fetched, but NIN&#8216;s first release after leaving their major label is a very ambitious step in the right direction.
